Instructions for installing Lucid3 may be found on the inside cover of the CD case.
When you open the Lucid3 Builder, you will be given the option to register the software.
If you choose to register later, you can use the Lucid3 Builder in Demonstration Mode only. In this mode certain features of the Builder (e.g Save, Save As and Export) will be disabled if the key exceeds 50 features and 15 entities.
Note that you must be able to connect to the Internet and have a valid email account in order to complete the registration process.
To register Lucid3, click I will register now and OK. You will be asked to enter your name, a valid email address (this must be the address used when ordering Lucid3; an activation file will be sent to this address), and serial number (found on the inside of the CD case).
Once you have entered the required registration details, the Builder will display the following dialog.

Follow the three steps outlined in the activation dialog.
They are:
Step 1- Copy all of the Registration code text and then click the 'Get Activation Code' button. Your default web browser should open to www.lucidcentral.org.
Step2- Login to the website. You will then be automatically redirected to the activation page. If not, the direct address is: http://www.lucidcentral.org/activation/. If you cannot remember your password at the login page, click the 'email me my password' link (note: If you did not have an account previously, you should have received your Lucidcentral account details at the time of purchase. For enquiries regarding your account details, please contact support@lucidcentral.org).
Once logged in, you will be directed to the product activation page as shown below:

Ensure you select the correct product you wish to activate in the Step 1 dropdown box (to activate your new Lucid3 version 3.3, choose 'Lucid Builderv3.3 or greater').
Step 3- Paste the copied registration code into the web page text box located at Step 2. Next, click the 'Activate' button. If your Lucidcentral account has the Lucid3 v3.3 product registered against it, you should see the following page:

If you do not see this page, go to the Activation problems that may occur section.
If you do see this page, copy all of the activation code from the text box and paste it into the Activation Code text box on the Lucid Activation dialog. Click 'Activate' button to complete the process.

If you did not copy and paste the entire registration code or the registration code is invalid for this edition you will see the following error:

If you did not use the same e-mail address entered in the registration dialog as your Lucidcentral.org account e-mail login address, you will receive the following error:

If you enter a serial number that has not been registered against your Lucidcentral.org account, you will see the following error:

This error may also occur if your copy of Lucid3 was purchased on your behalf, without supplying the correct ownership details. If in doubt, please contact support@lucidcentral.org to clarify the ownership of the serial number.
To make the activation process more flexible for computers that are centrally administered and have restricted privileges for non-administrators, the default location for storing the activation files is the user’s default home folder, where a ‘.lucid’ folder will be created.
For example:
In the Windows XP operating system, the activation files will be stored at:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\.lucid.
If desired, registration and activation files can also be placed into the Lucid installation folder. This will allow more than one user to use Lucid on the same computer. Alternatively, you may copy the ‘.lucid’ folder into other users’ home folders
