In order to increase security and provide users with a more complete service, we have changed the way in which this development tool is registered. In order for you to have full functionality of Lucid3, you must complete the activation process.

How to activate Lucid3

You should note that the registration and activation process registers the Lucid3 product to you and to the machine you 1st install Lucid3 on.

Step 1 - Installing Lucid3

Instructions for installing Lucid3 v3.4 may be found on the inside cover of the CD case.

When you open the Lucid3 Builder, you will be given the option to register the software now or later.

If you choose to register later, you can use the Lucid3 Builder in Demonstration Mode only. In this mode certain features of the Builder (e.g Save, Save As and Export) will be disabled if the key exceeds 50 features and 15 entities.

If you choose to register now, please note that you must be able to connect to the Internet and have a valid email account in order to complete the registration process.

Step 2 - Registering your copy

To register Lucid3, click I will register now and OK. You will be asked to enter your name, a valid email address (this must be the same as the e-mail address used when ordering Lucid3), and the serial number found on the inside of the CD case.

Step 3 - Getting your activation code from Lucidcentral

Once you have entered the required registration details, if there is an internet connection present then the Lucid Builder will attempt to activate over the network.

If the activation fails due to licensing or input errors, a message will be displayed describing the error and the Lucid Builder will enter demonstration mode. You can try the activation process again by restarting the Builder.

If the activation fails due to network connection or another unforeseen error the activation process can be completed manually. See Manual Activation process help page.
