Hello,

I'm trying to import an updated csv matrix into an existing key, but not all the scores are updating. I understand (from a previous Forum thread) that a Lucid import will not overwrite a positive state score with a 0. It's curious to be able to overwrite a 0 with a 1 but not the other way around.

Does anyone have a work-around? For example, is there a way, to easily reset all the scores to 0 before I import the new matrix? I sure would rather not have to do it one score at a time!

Thanks very much for any insights.

Colin

So it appears there is no useful solution. For anyone who stumbles upon the same problem, basically if you want to be able to update your Lucid matrix with imports, you have to maintain an empty copy of your Lucid key. Use this version to work on dependencies, media links, etc, but keep your matrix empty. Then, when you want to run your key, import your matrix wholesale and save the key with a new name. If you ever want to update the matrix in the future, make sure you continue maintaining the empty version of your key.

During import the score merging routine is weighted towards present scores, so if an existing score in a cell is present, and a cell in the imported matrix is absent, the present score will be preserved.

The quickest way to clear multiple scores would be to use the range scoring feature on the spreadsheet scoring view, select the absent score, then while holding down the shift key click on the first and last cells you want to clear. The range selected using this method may span multiple rows and columns.
